Report from Eldey: What a morning! Still the sun was shining and with great expectations we sailed out into the bay. The plan was to head straight to the area where we left the humpbacks in the morning as we spotted harbour porpoises. These cetaceans where surrounding us on our tour, probably we saw over 100 individuals throughout the afternoon, it was spectacular. Just some minutes later we spotted a pot of white-beaked dolphins, 10-13 individuals. They came really close and gave us a really good chance to take some great pictures as at the very same moment a minke whale crossed our path! 3 species out of the 4 common once in just 10 minutes, just unbelievable! Unfortunately the minke whale was a bit elusive and we still planned to go and find the humpback whale which we found sailing further out for another 15-20 minutes. It was not in vain sailing out all the way, as we immediately spotted 2 individuals quite close and one further out. The animals were feeding close to us, lunging out of the water and one slapped it's tail for approximately 8 times in a row, really close. It was just beautiful to see this majestic animals so up close in their natural behaviour. On our way back we met another minke whale and 1 more humpback whale. It was very well worth it stretching out time, nobody would have wanted to miss one minute of this tour!

Report from Eldey: What a day! Yesterday we had first day of Summer and it looks like weather took it seriously. It was sunny, warm and windless. Not even a single wave bothered us. We went first next to Grotta to take advantage of high tide and looks for birds. It was great decision as we found plenty of small flocks of Atlantic Puffins. Not far later we saw small pod, 3-4 harbour porpoises. Our next cetacean was minke whale. Animal was a little bit elusive so we went to look for something else. Next minutes we spend surrounded by porpoises. It was so many of them and everywhere! Jumping out of the water and bow riding. It was crazy! After fun with them we found humpback whale. It was young individual well know from previous days but in very playful mode as it was making a circle around our boat, showing us tail all the time and going for short and shallow dives. Next to humpback another minke appeared as well as porpoises so it was hard to focus on one animal. On the way back we saw many many more porpoises and one more minke. Amazing!
