Report from Eldey: It was definetly the best tour of a day! Sea was smoothy and calm, reflecting light just like a mirror. With this amazing condition is was easy to spot animals. After plenty of puffins we got to see 3 harbour porpoises as our first cetacean sighting. Next was a minke whale, just next to lighthouse. Animal was relaxed and traveling with constant speed so it was easy to follow. Not much farther we saw some splashes. For sure it was made but dolphins but they were moving very fast so we decided to skip them. It was a great decision as we found at least 4 minke whales feeding close one to another, It was crazy to see so many whales together. There was also plenty of sea-birds around us. When we saw bigger splash in distance we went direclty there, It was a humpback whale. Whale was feeding close to the water surface, rolling on the sides and surfacing with mouth wide open. We spend there like 30 minutes and whale was totally indifferent to our presence. It was just like watching Blue Planet documentary in life.

Report from Eldey: A relatively smooth sea state has allowed us for this great tour to shine. We saw all the most common species that can be seen in the Faxafloi Bay. We saw multiple harbour porpoises, 2 minke whales, 4 white beaked dolphins and as a cherry on top, an adult humpback whale at the end of the tour. To add to the whole experience, we saw dozens of northern gannets diving from the sky to the water just meters from the boat in a spectacular fasion. The artic turns have returned from the south, so we had the opportunity to see flocks of them making a lot of noise. Making people happy is our job and on this tour as well, we really made it happen. It is tremendelously fulfilling to evoke feelings of admiration and respect for nature and it's beauty in people.

Report from Eldey: After windy weekend finally today sea was very calm and we could sail without getting cold or sick. It was cloudy and we couldn't see much of landscape but conditions for spotting animals were perfect. After 10 min we had sighting of of 3-4 harbour porpoises what prepared us for next encounters. Quite soon we some dorsal fins which obviously belong to dolphins. Pod of 5-6 white-beaked dolphins were resting close to the surface allowing us to take close look at this pretty animals. We spend with them 20min before checking something else what our passenger saw. Under diving northern gannets there was a humpback whale! At first whale was going for 6min-lasting dives but later changed behaviour and become more active on the surface: we saw tail slapping, whale lying belly-up with flippers out of the water and flippers waving. It was something what we did not expected but we love that kind of surprises! On the way back our captain decided to stop for puffing watching on Engey what was perfect ending for this amazing tour!
