Report from Eldey: The The whole trip radiated with serene beauty. The calm sea, the play of light from the sun hiding behind the interesting clouds and the perfect visibility in all directions. Compared to the two other trips this day, we had to go pretty far out to see anything, as the sea appeared to be an empty desert - no birds whatsoever. Finally we spotted 5-6 white beaked dolphins in the sun glare. The animals were very relaxed and to our delight approached the vessel, swimming besides us, diving under the boat and giving us a great show. Soon after we saw 4-5 harbour porpoises exhibiting the same kind of behaviour as the dolphins, which is not such a common sight. Too top it off we had a couple of nice encounters with a beautiful minke whale that was feeding in the area close by together with the other odontocetes and various bird species above. As we sailed back, on our way we saw dolphins jumping out of the water.

Report from Eldey: Finally we could feel like in summer as it was very  warm this afternoon. Sea was still calm, it was a little windy but without swell. Few Icelandic families with kids joined us for this trip, showing that whale-watching is not just a touristic activity. After an hour of sailing we had first very short sighting of an animals, probably a minke whale, but we saw it only once. Not much later single harbour porpoise was swimming for a while next to our boat, it was very cute! Next, for our surprise we found solitary white-beaked dolphin. It was difficult to follow one dolphin so we went to look for more. We managed to find some more dolphins, 2-3 individual but they were very busy with hunting. Finally, for our satisfaction we saw big pod of white-beaked dolphins. Around 12 animals with small calf. This dolphins were relaxed, surfacing slowly and close to the boat. Dolphinetely, that made our day!

Report from Eldey: Sun! We almost forgot what a pleasure it is to sail under the shining sun, so this morning we were in heaven. It was super warm and the sea was flat. It was easy to spot minke whales, as the animals also seemed to enjoy this nice weather and were often coming  to the surface. With these perfect sea conditions it was also easy to see many harbour porpoises. To start the day even better during the tour we encountered 2 pods of white-beaked dolphins. First pod of around 8 individuals was swimming slowly around our boat and the second, which we found on the way back, was much more active - from the distance we saw jumping dolphins, when we got closer some of them attempted to bow ride our boat and later with splashes swam fast in the direction of the bay.
