Tour at 13.00

Report from Eldey: We sailed out from Reykjavik in nice sunshine but with a bit of swell. After about half an hour of sailing we saw two harbour porpoise very close to the boat. Searching for other cetaceans we continued further out in the bay, where we managed to find a minke whale and we saw it surface a few times. A lot of birds was seen on the trip, but we would have liked to have shown our passengers more cetaceans. We therefore gave everybody complimentary tickets, so they can come on another trip, and hopefully have more sighting of cetaceans next time!

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: We left Reykjavík with moderate southwestern winds. The weather was quite changeable between cloudy and sunny skies and a short moment of hailing. The swell was also higher than this morning so it was a little rough on the way out. We got to an area with a lot of bird activity, there a minke whale was spotted. Although the animal surfaced twice close to the boat we never managed to spot it after it went for a deep dive. After searching around other flocks of birds without success we had to start sailing back to Reykjavik. As it was difficult to watch this minke whale we decided to give all of our passengers return tickets for another whale watching tour. We hope to see you all again!
