Report from Eldey: The weather did not had much improved from our previous tour but we sailed out from Hafnarfjörður along the coast of Reykjaness. This way we were more sheltered from the waves, could go further out and come back to Reykjavik with the wind on our back. We scanned the entire area but unfortunately on this tour we were not able to find any cetaceans. Anyways the tour was nice with a glimpse of blue on the sky and quite some seabirds we could observe. But as this was not supposed to be a bird watching tour, we offered all our guests a complimentary ticket to come back on another tour to see come cetaceans. Fingers crossed!

Report from Eldey: For our morning tour we left from Hafnarfjörður, as the sea conditions were calmer around this harbour compared to Reykjavík. We even got a little bit of sunshine during the tour, but the wind was very strong. Still, our captain sailed the boat safely through the waves. Sadly the cetaceans were not in a very sociable mood during the morning. We put our best effort into searching for them, however, sea conditions made the spotting a lot more difficult and we couldn't find any cetaceans. Nontheless, many of the passengers enjoyed our ride through the waves and still had a great time on board. As we didn't see any cetaceans on the tour, we gave our passengers complimentary tickets so they can give it another try.

Birds seen on today's tours include: atlantic puffin, northern gannet, northern fulmar, arctic tern, razorbill, common guillemot, lesser black-backed gull, black-legged kittiwake
We will be sailing out from HAFNARFJÖRÐUR at 10:00 tour due to unfavorable conditions out of Reykjavík. A bus will be ready and waiting for passengers here in the Old Harbour and drive off to Hafnarfjörður at the scheduled departure time. After the tours we will return to Reykjavík by bus again.
This will result in a slightly longer tour, or between 3,5-4 hrs. and could impact COMBO tours. Guests that are unable to join the tour because of it's length should contact their travel planner immediately to arrange for a different activity or check for other options provided by them.
