Report from Hafsúlan: This morning, the sea was very rough, but the sun was shining here and there and rainbows at the horizont gave us hope to find some whales in the roughs seas. We sailed a long time without seein anything, but the swell kept us busy and most of us were enjoying this adventure at sea. When we were quite far out, we spotted a huge flock of feeding Northern Gannets in the distance. There must have been more than hundred of these largest birds of the North Atlantic. Usually, they are a very good indicator for whales when feeding, but surprisingly, we could not find any whale in the closer surrounding. However, we saw at least three rainbows and the light in the bay plus the rainshowers in between made faxa bay look like a painting. Also, seeing so many gannets diving for food was quite spectacular even though a whale within them would have made it the perfect nature documentary. Eventually, we gave out complimentary tickets to all our brave sailors and hope to see everyone again on one of our future tours.
