Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: Its been a while without such a good weather as we had this afternoon. Sea was calm and flat, almost no wind and low clouds hanging above mountains created mood of a mystery. Our first cetacean was a lonely harbour porpoise hanging around Engey. After hour of sailing another lonely animal approach our boat - it was a white-beaked dolphin. It was strange to see solitary dolphin but soon we had seen another dorsal fin on our side. Unfortunately as surprising those dolphins appeared as soon we lost sight of them. We did not see anything else that afternoon that is why we offered complimentary tickets at the end.

Report from Eldey: The morning started with overcast sky but as soon as we sailed out of the harbour it started to clear up and we could see the dramatic and picturesque skies that the sun creates with its lights at this time of the year. Orange, red, pinkish coloration were mingling within the clouds and the landscape to create a beautiful postcard of Faxafloi. Apart from the incredible views, something caught our attention, in this case was a pod of 4-6 white-beaked dolphins scattered through an area well-known by whale watchers. Once we were closer, they came close to us so we could enjoy them passing by under our boat. It was a unique experience. When we were returning to the port, a small pod of 4 harbour porpoises appeared out of nowhere chased by a flock of hungry black-legged kittiwakes which probably realized that these tiny cetaceans were feeding so they could get some leftovers. Overall, a nice experience out there.
