✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE | at 13:00

Report from Eldey: Today was not the best weather day but definitly not the worst either. The rain stayed away for the most part and only the occasionally short period of fine watering. The wind was strong but relatively warm for winter with 8 degree celcius temperature, We had some rolling waves for the first 45 minutes were everyone could test their sea legs and doing very well with it too. We traveled a long way to the areas of the last sightings of yesterdays humpback but unfortunatly no where to be seen. We traveled south and explored the calmer waters closer to Reykjanes. It was about 2 hours and 15minutes into the tour we saw our first marine mammals, a very curious harbour seal that popped up his head to check us out and went and then a pod of 3-5 white-beaked dolphins that were very elusive, up for 2-3 minutes and gone again. A fun time on the water but difficult time with the mammals. The birds however, were very cool, especially the northern gannets. Such a nice variety of birds seen today. Always nice to see but in the end with the lack of whale and dolphin sightings we offered our passengers complimentary tickets to come again and try their luck another time.
