Report from Eldey: The day was supposed to be rough but it was one of the most incredible days out there in our favourite spot: Kollafjordur. We went to check if our loyal humpback whale was still there and indeed he was. As soon as we arrived, we could see this gargantuan animal performing one of his favourite tricks: lunge feeding. Later on, his powerful tail was raised over and over combined with exquisite blows just in the sun glare, creating a nice optical effect that we like to call "rainblow". Regardless our beloved whale, very active seabirds and a curious harbour seal which was seen several times, the weather was the best you can get in winter: cold but sunny, with a light breeze that allowed us to enjoy a fantastic whale-watching trip.
