✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE | at 9:00 & 13:00  FROM ANOTHER HARBOUR

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: We got off the harbour Hafnafjordur in our second endeavor today to find some whales out there in the bay. As usual we started scanning the area as soon as we left the harbor, since it always impossible to predict when the animals are going to pop up, and we had encounters in the past quite close to land. Eventually we found some dolphins, but this group was unusually evasive. We tried to keep up with them for a while, but soon after they disapeared. We founf them again later on but only for a short sighting. Therefore, as it was sinply not possible to find whales out there, we offered all our passengers the opporunity to join us again for free on another tour acording to their chosing..

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: Our pursue for cetaceans took us today to the wonderful harbour of Hafnafjordur. We sailed across the cliffs towards Keflavik willing to find some activity. Seafloor was full of fish and we could witness some brave seabirds facing the winds graciously. However, we couldn´t find our beloved cetaceans so we offered complimentary tickets to all of our passengers, hoping to see them next time.

-Rodrigo A. Martinez Catalan

Birds seen during our tour: northern fulmar, eider duck, long-tailed duck, black-legged kittiwake, great cormorant, great black-backed gull, black guillemot.

A bus will be ready and waiting for passengers here in the Old Harbour and drive off to Hafnarfjörður at the scheduled departure times at no extra charge. After the tours we will return to Reykjavík by bus again. The duration of the tours should be approximately 3,5 - 4 hours.
