Report from Eldey: Wind was picking up since morning, making top layers of water bumpy but sailing was still easy and wearing our suits we are not afraid of any weather. When we reached area where we saw whales this morning we only noticed big splash far in distance, we were of course curious what was that but unfortunately except a single blow we haven't seen much more. Captain from other boat let us know that they found a whale and soon we were watching for more than 30min a humpback whale. We saw it rolling on surface with flippers up and going for deep dives, after that feeding behaviour we saw this whale making poop and then animal was just resting on surface. We left him in peace as in distance we saw another blow. Second humpback whale was just coming to the surface to dive again and after twice seeing it's fluck we start heading to Reykjavik as in that direction we noticed another blow. This time it was a pair of humpbacks! It's a rare sighting here in Faxafoli as here humpbacks are mostly solitary. Those animals were definitely close to each other as were moving in synchrony, staying so close that they must been touching one another. They also provide us with super close look as they came right next to us and they were massive! We couldn't stop smiling all our way back to the harbour.

Report from Eldey: A bit windy today but, who cares when you have so many whales around? We headed to the area where we left our cetaceans the previous day to discover happily that they were still there. We encountered 4 humpback whales in total, but many more blows were seen in the distance, a proof that Faxafloi is boiling with life. Some of them came really close to us and we observed feeding behaviour when one of them came out of the water with fully open mouth. It was without any doubt an extraordinary tour.
