 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 17:00

Report from Eldey: The wind had calmed and the swell too leaving us a very nice smooth tour. We travelled further south and after 1 hours sailing saw a small pod of about 5 harbour porpoises that most passengers, especially those outside got to see. They surfaced a few times as they headed off to look for their next meal. Then a little later we found two minke whales, we follow one and the other whale watching boat, the other. It was constantly changing direction and speeds, gannets were plunging into the water from great heights and fulmars swooshed past. We were able to stay with this whale a while trying to make sure not to disturb its feeding. Time ran out then and so we sailed home with some good old music to listen too.

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 14:00

Report from Hafsulan: After a rainy morning tour, we left the harbour with a light rain refreshing our ideas. The wind was not really strong so, specially in the way out, we had a smooth sailing. After roughly an hour sailing, a fain blow appeared in the distance. We got to the area and spotted 2 minke whales surfacing a bit far away from us. We opted for approaching one of them and it was a great decision. Once we were in the area, we discovered that we were surrounded by, at least, 6 minke whales! They were surfacing all around us, some of them extremely close to the boat. At the same time, dozens of northern gannets were doing planch diving feeding in the same area. We didn't even know where to look! It was magical! Being surrounded by whales and sea birds in the wild! Such a wonderful trip! :)

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 13:00

Report from Eoldey: The sea state was the same as on the tour before, not that wavy actually. The weather was the same with the addition of hale on this tour. :) We sailed quite long and looked far. We spotted 3-4 white-beaked dolphins but they turned out to be elusive. We sailed on and saw 2 minke whales a few times moving fast and erratic in all directions, obviously feeding. We saw these beautiful animals, but as we believe we can provide even a better experience for our guests, we gave out complementary tickets for them to give it one more try.

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 10:00

Report from Hafsulan: Unfortunately, and regardless of the tour greatest efforts, apart from a couple of harbour porpoises, it was not possible to sight any whales and dolphins during this tours. Weather conditions were favourable. Our sighting rate is really high, but working with Nature always implies a degree of unpredictability. However, since tours like these are unusual and do not hold up to our standards, we offered all our passengers the opportunity to come back again with us, on another whale watching ride, for free! Hope to see them all again soon!

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 09:00

Report from Eldey: The seas were calm today, slight NE winds and very little swell. It was actuallt very nice weather dispite the clouds and rainy conditions but even then it was only fine rain and not too bothersome. We saw our minke whale after about 1 hours sailing. Surfaced 5 times but at least 600-800 meters in the distance. We tried to continue the same course and get a little a head of the whale and after a couple of sightings we were about to have the minke whale surfacing just 20meters from us and for a few surface sequences. Only the most experinced crew can accomplish this and we had that today. However it only works when the whales continues the same course and speed which they don´t always do. More vessels came to the area so we left to minimise disturbance. On the way home the guide spotted 2 harbour porpoises very quickily, very unlikely the passengers saw them. Always good to stay outside and keep searching.
