Report from Eldey: We sure were lucky with the weather today, winds calming down just shortly before we went out and only picking up again within our last minutes out. With the wind direction, it was actually cancelling out most of the underswell we have been having the past days and made this such a pleasant sail! As in the last weeks, everything was bathed in twilight colours, mountains were white from snow and Iceland was showing off it's beauty. With no restrictions on where to go, we actually crossed the bay from East to West, seeing plenty of birdlife along the way. It seemed very lively in the bay and our hopes were high. Sadly, the whales and dolphins did not add into this beautiful tour, likely being further out and beyond our searching areas, a circumstance that can change within just hours though. That is why we encouraged everyone to get a complimentary ticket to return and try their luck once more.
