Report from Eldey: So this afternoon we took again a different route from the tour this morning and our tours yesterday, sailing closer to Reykjanes. Sea conditions were still pleasant and made for an enjoyable ride to enjoy the scenery. Just at the island Akurey, very close to the harbour, we saw a small pod of 2 or 3 harbour porpoises greeting us on our way into the largest bay of Iceland. About half way into the tour, our first officer spotted a blow and also the black body of a whale far in the distance. Naturally, we aimed straight there but nature was not in our favour and the search remained without success. Birdlife was however more abundant this afternoon so all signs for sightings soon to come are positive. That is why we will try again tomorrow and every following day, as long as the weather permits, and hope that our passengers will as well. To do so, they were provided with complimentary tickets at the end of our tour which they can use to come whale watching again anytie in the next two years.

Report from Eldey: A overcast and windy morning but with better sea conditions than expected, even better than yesterday. With that, spotting conditions were great, also the cloud cover was in our favour as we were not blended by the sun in any way. It turned out that we had freedom of choice of our path and so chose to go a bit further West than yesterday, just to search other areas. All the birds from the last days had dispersed however and it just seemed like most of the life and food must have moved northwards, outside of our searching area. Only 3 harbour porpoises showed themselves for a few quick surfaces, but otherwise nothing was seen. But as the whales from the previous days mus still be around, we will keep trying and hope that our passengers will do the same by using their complimentary ticket which they were offered at the end of our tour.
