Report from Eldey: It was great to be out on the water, fresh air and incredible landscape to keep our minds distracted from the troubles at home. We photographed the mountains, the seabirds and enjoyed the search for the whales and dolphins that have been rather elusive the last days and this afternoon was no different, not even the splash of a porpoise. The swell had increased in the last hours and we wanted to shelter near to land to minimise that as much as we could and search teh areas were a lot of birdlife was gathering. They however just seemed to be gathering to rest, maybe returning from a long migration. We offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they can use it again in the next two years and have better luck next time.

Report from Eldey: Under gray sky and we head to explore Faxafloi. As forecast wasn't great, predicting wind picking up during the tour our captain decided to take an alternative route. Thanks to that movement we avoided facing waves and our ride was comfortable and smooth. We passed lighthouse Grotta in close proximity and then using protection of the coast we went in direction of Reykjaness peninsula. When we were here for the last time we had sighting of a fin whale and humpbacks thus going here sounded as a good idea. There was plenty of fish in the sea as we were sailing between very busy fishing vessels. We had also a chance to take a look at rich diversity of seabirds, specially at waterfowls like eider and long tailed ducks. The only thing we were missing to make this cruise more interesting was presence of whales or dolphins. Briefly we got to see few harbour porpoises but we were hoping for much more. As we cannot control the nature but we still want to satisfy our passengers we offered them complimentary tickets to try again.
