Tour at 13:00: Report from Hafsúlan. Today we sailed out from the harbour in Sandgerði because of the amazing sightings we were having from there lately. The sea was very smooth and almost no wind. We had been searching for an hour and a half when we saw a pod of Harbour Porpoises. They were pretty elusive so we decided to leave them and search for something else. When we were about to turn the boat around to head back a Minke Whale appeared in the distance, the first Minke whale of the season! We followed it around and it got close to the boat. We stayed with the minke for a while and listened to the sound of the blow. The weather and sea conditions were amazing and it was so awesome to see the first Minke Whale of this season.

Birds seen on the tour included: Northern Gannet, Cormorant, Kittiwake, Fulmars, Eider Ducks, Black-backed gulls, Lesser black-backed gulls and Glaucous gull.
