Report from Elding: We were all super excited to finally go on a whale watching tour after a forced interregnum during these strange times. Apart from a light rain, the weather conditions were quite nice and favourable for cetacean detection. In fact it did not takes us long to spot our first whale. It was a minke whale, one of our most frequently sighted species. We were able to observe it a few times though at certain point it started to be quit challenging to keep track of it. From this point on the tour was quite eventful. Overall we got to see 3 more minke whales and a 2 pods of white beaked dolphins, in different areas along the ride. During our last encounters the animals were very easy to approach and we were able to enjoy their presence really close to our vessel for quite some time. Another ride to remember with Elding!
