Report from Elding: Afternoon was still cloudy but calm with excellent visibility. We knew that whales were far and we had long way to go. It was even harder when we spotted some minke whales but we had to keep going. Minkes can be difficult and we didn´t want to waste time. Luckily we were right in our predictions as humpback whales we saw bit later were worthy every minute. We saw two individuals, both feeding and both lunge feeding - whales coming to the surface with mouth open. What a show to watch. They were so absorbed with eating that were acting like we were not there - coming super close to the boat while following the fish. It was incredible afternoon.

Report from Elding: Well it was not a sunny morning but still so wonderful to be outside. With only a slight breeze from the south, seas were calm, it felt warm and visibility was great. We had our first sighting of a minke whale in the southerly part of Faxafloi, and very close to it also 2 white-beaked dolphins were swimming alongside a humpback whale. But this individual seemed annoyed by the dolphins and decided to escape them by going for a long and deep dive. No matter for us, we still had time to search other areas. Gladly for us, as we then moved further north and encountered 3 minke whales as well as a humpback whale we know as Wolverine, showing us some lunge feeding action. That sure was the highlight and perfect end of our morning tour.
