Report from Elding: Super sunny afternoon with slightly chilly winds, we first traveled north to a place where humpback whales were observed earlier in the day. On the way to this area we spotted at least 3-4 minke whales and a pod of 3-4 harbour porpoises and once arrived we found a humpback whale too after a lot of searching. After a little while we decided to do more searching and found at least 15-20 more minke whales, one more humpback whale and a pod of 3-4 white-beaked dolphins and 2-3 more pods of 2-3 harbour porpoises. Its always great to see 4/4 of our regular species and with great weather and lots of birdlife it was a fantastic tour.

Report from Elding: A lovely, sunny morning. Winds were a little chilly still, coming from the north, but the sunrays sure made up for it. We sailed through large parts of the bay, and with the water so calm, spotted black backs and dorsal fins with nearly no effort. Our first encounter was with 2 minke whales still before Grotta, and as we moved on we saw more minke whales everywhere. Also a pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins showed itself as it was speeding through the water, chasing fish. Close to Hvalfjodur, another 4 minke whales came within meters of our boat and 2 pods of the adorable harbour porpoises also crossed our path. Overall a great trip that felt like summer is back.
