✔ CLASSIC TOUR ON SCHEDULE |  13:00

Report from Elding: We begun the tour under a light rain but after a few miles away from Reykjavik it was an enjoyable weather and a calm pleasant sea. We first crossed the path of 3-4 harbour porpoises that only the best eyes could spot. We went far in the bay, in the same area where the whales were found yesterday. They were still there ! The captain first spotted a blow with the binoculars. We patiently approached that blow and find out that there was at least 5 humpback whales in this feeding area. The good visibility allowed us to see the whales fluke diving from far away under a beautiful light. They were looking very calm, breathing a few times before fluke diving and coming back again. After those good sightings we went back to Reykjavik and back to the rain.

Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Elding. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tour as it is always colder on sea than on land. Join us by booking online or contact us directly for more information (elding@elding.is / +354 519 5000).

We of course ask that all our guests and staff ensure their own hygiene and safety at all times. Washing hands thoroughly with soap and using a hand sanitiser on a regular basis is advised, as well as wearing a face mask when keeping a 2 metre distance from others is not possible. Masks are available for purchase in our ticket office and hand sanitiser stations are located in high traffic areas.
