Tour at 13:00 Report from Hafsúlan. Once again we sailed out from Reykjavik on a beautiful day. My favourite time of year with the snow on top of the mountains and the light so perfect that you could see every detail of the mountains too and the fresh crisp cold air. It was wonderful. We sailed out for about 30 minutes before we saw splashes in our binoculars miles away towards Keflavík airport. It was White-beaked Dolphins. First pod we saw was about 4-5 individuals which was really nice but we could see there was more further out. Once we got closer we could see dolphins everywhere all White-beaked Dolphins. In the end of the tour we must of seen at least 3-400 dolphins both close and far. They were fantastic. leaping, bow-riding, surfacing just meters from the boat on the left, right, front and back of the boat. We followed them for a long time and in the end we were very close to Reykjavík, its like they guided us home which is many dolphins have been known to do. If you google Pelorus Jack the Risso Dolphin that guided ships in the Cook Strait of New Zealand. Dolphins are amazing animals which are linked to many incredible stories.

Tour at 09:00 Report from Hafsúlan. We had a large school group join us this morning and with them a few passengers. First morning tour this year and it was beautiful. The sun rise over Reykjavik was breath-taking, It was very cold out at sea but once the sun rose it soon warmed every thing up. Summer is definately on it´s way. Crew members saw one White-beaked Dolphin the binoculars but could not find it again and the researchers on board found some Harbour Porpoises but unfortunately none of them wanted to stay long enough so that we could show our passengers. It was a lovely morning out at see but no whales of dolphins. We gave our passengers a complimentary ticket to hopefully join us again another.

Birds seen on todays tour include; Eider Ducks, Razorbills, Black Guillemots, Iceland Gulls, Gloucous Gulls, Kittiwakes, Fulmars and Cormorants.
