Tour at 13:00 Report from Elding Today we had a beautiful day, it was sunny but cold. We headed out from another harbour located at Sangerði. Once we started sailing we encountered a few sea birds, we scanned that area and decided to keep going. Then we started to head torwards some fishing boats that were along the Reykjanes peninsula. This area is well known for the presence of herring. We did our best and scanned this area thoughly but unfortunately there was no whales around. We began our journey back and kept on looking for any signs of whales; we got closer to land were a few days ago we spotted a humpback whale but once again we found ourselves dissapointed. Approaching the harbour we encoutered rough weather since we were againt the wind. Few people on the way back felt somewhat ill as we headed into the swell making the boat rock a little bit more. At the end, we gave away complemintary tickets that are valid for two years and Hopefully we get better sightings for upcoming tours.
Birds seen on today´s tour include, Fulmars, Guillemots, Razorbill, Gannets, Shag, Cormorants, Kittiwakes, Gloucous Gulls, Eider Ducks and Black-backed Gulls.
