Tour at 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed on out from Grindavík this windy afternoon with the moody clouds above us but at least it did not rain on the tour! We had very high hopes for this tour and we did not get disappointed today. We had to look for a long time before we spotted something but the refreshing wind kept us wide awake in the mean time. In the end a passenger spotted a big blow close by us! This turned out to be a Humpback Whale, a specie that we have not seen for a while on our tours. We got to see this Humpback very well, came close to the boat and lifted the fluke up for us few times. This was such a lovely encounter after a long time with no Humpbacks. In the end we had to leave the whale to head back to Grindavík, in the tour the sky had cleared a bit so we enjoyed the sailing back and the beautiful costal view we had.
