Tour at 13:00Report from Hafsúlan: The wind had picked up a little since this morning but we had a clear view of the beautiful surroundings in Faxaflói. So we headed out and after a little sail we spotted lots of diving Northern Gannets so we decided to slow the boat down and take a better look in the area. Like on the nine o‘clock the first specie that we saw were the small but lovely specie Harbour Porpoises. When watching them we heard from another boat that a pod of White Beaked Dolphins were close by. We sailed to the dolphins and got to see them coming up to the surface often, sometimes close by us. This was not the only pod of dolphins that we saw on the tour, we spotted another pod as well but they were a bit more elusive and harder to stay with. So like this morning we had a very nice encounter with both dolphins and porpoises on this tour.

Tour at 09:00Report from Hafsúlan: We headed out of the old harbour in Reykjavík in a bit of a wind but the weather stayed fine throughout the tour and the sea was relatively calm. After a bit of a sail we saw small pod of Harbour Porpoises coming close to the boat and surfacing close by us. It‘s always nice to see this small and shy species so close. Very close by the porpoises we spotted a pod of White Beaked Dolphins. This turned out to be a dolphin watching tour, in a small area we spotted many pods of these beautiful, playful creatures. They came very close, swimming under the boat so we could clearly see them under the surface! We even saw them jumping out of the water few times and lifting the fluke often. This was such a nice encounter with these playful animals so we were happy to head back in the end.
