Report from Elding: As we had a lot of passengers in the afternoon tour we decided to go on two boats. On the way out we had the wind behind us so it was calm to sail into the bay. When we spotted a flock of birds we wanted to have a closer look if there were Whales around and we were lucky! There were at least 5+ Humpback Whales in the area!!! Some of them came really close to us, from others we could see the blow further away. It was quite rough out in this area so we always had to be prepared to hold on when there were waves from the side. But all in all we had a great day with a lot of Humpbacks in Faxaflói Bay.

Not the nicest of weathers on this mornings tour, windy and muggy. We sailed out and came across a pod of about 6-8 Harbour Porpoises which surfaced twice before disappearing into the blue yonder. Then we searched and searched and searched with unfortunately no larger whales. We came back quite disappointed and so complimentary tickets were handed out in the hope of a better tour next time.
