✔ CLASSIC TOUR ON SCHEDULE |  13:00

Report from Elding: Southwesterly winds brought a little swell into the bay today and a fine rain also however,  it was still nice and comfortable with the inside heated saloon, hot drinks and overalls to keep us warm. We were lucky with the whales today and we were able to see 3 species, about 5-8 scattered harbour porpoises, 2 minke whales and 1 humpback whale. However it was mainly the crew that saw the porpoises and minkes.  We even smelt the fishy breath of the minke that sometimes is brought over the boat with the wind. Minke whales have a nickname ´stinky minke´because of their smelly breath. It was also nice to see the seabirds chilling out and finding the bay too.

✔ PREMIUM TOUR ON SCHEDULE |  10:00

Report from Þruma RIB: We thought that today's morning tour would be much nicer than yesterday but Iceland decided differently. The wind was picking up and the waves getting bigger in Faxafloi. The way out was nice with the wind coming from the back and we saw many interesting birds like atlantic puffins, common guillemots, arctic terns and northern gannets showing off with their wide wingspan and their plunge-diving behavior. We searched in the area where whales were seen yesterday but unfortunately we could not find any cetacean in the bay. The way back was much more rocky and wet with the waves against us and rain. Our passengers still enjoyed the ride and because we could not see the whales, they were offered to come back for free in a classic whale watching tour in Reykjavik or in Akureyri.
