NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Report from Eldey: We had the wonderful conditions for auroras this evening - high activity and perfectly clear skies. Our only challenge, was the full moon. We headed out with optimism though, and sailed past the islands and away from the city lights. We all stared up at the skies, looking at all the stars in the sky. We could see Orion's belt, Ursa major and minor and even Jupiter right next to the moon! While the stars were lovely, we were all waiting for the auroras to show up. However, tonight they were shy and unfortunately our luck never came through. After a beautiful evening at sea, we had to go back to the harbour without a glimpse of the northern lights. We offered all our passengers complimentary tickets to come again on another northern lights tour for free to see if they can be luckier next time.

Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
