CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING 09:00
Report from Eldey: In the cold crisp air of Faxafloi bay this morning, we headed quite far out towards the South West. Passing by a first cetacean, an elusive minke whale, we finally spotted further away several blows altogether. We encountered 4 humpback whales, peacefully riding together, fluke diving one after the other. Several of these individual were recognizable as whales that we had seen through the summer, in particular Davy Jones 2nd, a token humpback that we've seen in the last few years. As we were quite far out, we started heading back, leaving our quatuor up to their fluke diving trials for the morning.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: Sailing out this afternoon, the weather got worse and worse as we sailed into Faxafloi bay. Going far out where we had seen the whales this morning, we searched and searched in the high waves, without any luck. Continuously looking on our way back home, the result was all the same: we ended up giving out complimentary tickets to everyone, as a better weather and better tour was well deserved.
