- NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
We were lucky from the start, as the northern lights were waiting for us! Two beautiful green arches at the sky, visible with the naked eye. We listened to good music, with hot drinks in hand, and enjoyed the starry night!
This morning was incredible and we saw 3 humpback whales in total - we witnessed tail- and pec slaps as well as multiple breaches! In the afternoon we also saw 3 humpback whales, one if which came very close and even swam under our boat and the others were feeding and logging! We then spotted a very fast harbour porpoise.

We sailed out feeling the cold breeze on our faces, until we found a spot in between the islands where the wind was calmer. Unfortunately, we didn't see any auroras, so we decided to give out complimentary tickets!
As we left the harbour this morning, we saw 3 humpback whales feeding very close to Viðey island! In the afternoon we quickly found 2 humpback whales in the distance, and as we got closer we could see that they were rolling and feeding! We could also spot about 3 grey seals, looking at us very curiously. A perfect day!
About 15 minutes into the morning tour, we spotted 3 humpback whales! Two were busy lunge feeding and rolling and the third was logging. Same story in the afternoon, we had 3 humpback whales (Ekki, Frodo and Pongo) after 15 minutes of sailing! We decided to move on and then spotted humpback whale number 4!

Due to unfavourable weather conditions, we have decided to CANCEL the Northern Lights Cruise tonight!
This morning, a humpback whale breached out of the blue! We then found 2 more humpback whales and then we had another breach, a peduncle throw and a roll! There were also 5 harbour porpoises that popped up and 1 grey seal. In the afternoon we found 3 humpback whales (Ekki, Frodo and Pongo) and one of them breached!

It was forecasted to be quite clear, and so it continued during the whole evening. Although the night seemed promising, we had no luck and offered all passengers complimentary tickets for a second try at the lights!
We spotted a sleepy humpback whale soon after leaving the harbour this morning! We then saw 2 more whales, actively feeding. In the afternoon, we found 3 humpback whales, two feeding and the other one did several peduncle throws in front of us before it breached at least 8 times in a row! We also saw 3 grey seals.

In the beginning of the tour there was not much to be seen, then very faint northern lights appeared and then came out in all its might! There was always one arch, sometimes even two! A beautiful night to remember!

Due to unfavourable weather conditions, we have decided to CANCEL the Northern Lights Cruise tonight!
We saw blows belonging to 3 humpback whales - what a way to start the day! One of them was Pongo, notorious for resting on the surface, and the other 2, Ekki and Frodo, were feeding. In the afternoon we quickly found 2 humpback whales (lunge feeding and rolling) as well as a harbour porpoise and a grey seal!

Due to unfavourable weather conditions, we have decided to CANCEL the Northern Lights Cruise tonight!
Shortly after departure this morning, we spotted 2 humpback whales before finding another 2 on our way back! The weather was very nice this afternoon as we sailed out on 2 boats. As soon as we left the harbour we saw our first humpback whale before finding another 2 in the same area. One of our boats even found a 4th whale!
