Report from Eldey: We set off facing cold northerly winds along with some rain but this didn´t stop our excitement for the morning ahead. After a while of searching a pod of 5 white beaked dolphins came very close to us. To start with they were a bit elusive but then suddenly they started jumping lots and bow riding for a long time. We then headed off and came across a minke whale that we got to see surface a lot around some birds. Then we soon saw a solo harbour porpoise. The best was saved for last though as we found a flock of sooty shearwaters feeding along with a pod of 3 white beaked dolphins and 2 minkes. Then soon another pod of 4 dolphins joined us. For a while we could see them coming towards us as they porpoised through the water. One of the water surfaced so close to us you could even see the white armbands on the pectorals. So we then ended this rainy, cold tour very happy.

Report from Eldey: As the cold and rain picked up, we sailed out again into Faxafloi bay. Hoping to get similar sightings as this morning, we roamed around the same area, finding first 3 minke whales, 2 of which came very close to our boat. Further out, we encountered 3 pods of dolphins with around 10 individuals, some coming close to us and bowriding, for all to see and enjoy. As we were ready to head back home, 2 other minke whales appeared just in front of us, to finish our tour on a high note.
