In the morning, we sailed out with a bit of snow but the sun came out soon after. We sailed around the bay looking for wildlife, but unfortunately didn't find anything and we gave out complimentary tickets. In the afternoon, we had a similar mix of sun and snowy conditions, and after a good search, we found a humpback whale! It was Banana, one of our regulars. We also spotted 4-5 grey seals who were very inquisitive. A great way to end the day.

The sky was mostly clear as we headed out, first for a nice cruise around the islands to see if we can spot any aurora. The stars were shining, and with our cameras, we could spot a faint glow, but nothing with the naked eye. So we offered complimentary tickets to our guests for the chance to try again.
We left the harbour with a wintry mix on our morning tour, but the skies soon cleared and before long we found a humpback whale. We had very calm seas and we could even hear their breath. In our afternoon tour, the sun shined bright, and again found a humpback whale not far from land! It was banana, one of our favourite regulars to see! A great day in Faxaflói bay!

Another cold morning at sea, and we headed out in search of wildlife. Close to the island of Viðey, we spotted a humpback whale feeding. In the afternoon, the wind had picked up a bit but we had blue skies and were excited to see what was in store for us. We first spotted a grey seal close to Lundey, before seeing our resident friend Banana, a humpback whale. We could even see their whole body through the clear water, a brilliant afternoon at sea.
