We started going toward the north near Esja taking some shelter from the strong wind and crossed a large pod of 8-9 harbour porpoises. They were quite easy to observe with their triangular shaped dorsal fin, piercing fiercely the waves. Unfortunately that was the only sighting we had for this tour so we offered complimentary tickets to our passengers!
We were quite excited to sail out and see what nature had on offer for us. We had beautiful snowy mountains all around us, and a bit of long swell was moving the boat slightly. We sadly didn't get to see any cetaceans and we decided to give out complimentary tickets so our passengers get another chance of seeing the whales and dolphins in our bay.

The forecast looked good and the sky had many visible stars. At the halfway mark very faint northern lights appeared through our cameras, but unfortunately they did not get brighter, so we gave complimentary tickets to our passengers.

After a while, taking random pictures of the sky, we captured some green lights above Esja mountain! However, we could only see them through the cameras. Since the tour was coming to an end, we decided to give out complimentary tickets.

The moon was a bit bright, but it was also hidden behind the clouds during most of the tour. Very suddenly, it started to snow! Surprised, we started our journey to the harbour and decided to give out complimentary tickets to our passengers.

We sailed out tonight after a snowy day. It was meant to be clear skies but as we set off there were high clouds. We could just about see some stars and the moon through this, but as we didn't see any auroras we gave out complimentary tickets.

We went quite far until we saw a blow. We went there and could see a humpback whale! We were observing this majestic creature when a 2nd humpback whale decided to breach 3 or 4 times! We were going to return to the harbour when the other humpback decided to give us a gentle tail slap and then a fluke dive to say goodbye.

We sailed out with quite a nice forecast. By half of the tour, we had clear skies in a very starry night, but unfortunately, tonight they tricked us and therefore we decided to give out complimentary tickets and hope to see everyone return another night!
There was still a bit of swell as we sailed out surrounded by snowy pink mountains and enjoyed the stunning clouds. We sailed around, scanning the horizons for any sign of cetaceans. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in finding any and therefore handed out complimentary tickets so that everyone can come again and see the bay in its full glory.
