Tour at 13:00

We headed straight out to the same area this afternoon to try to find the whales again. After searching for some time we spotted a flock of feeding birds, Kittiwakes, Gulls and Fulmars. And a  Minke whale came up between them.  But this whale did not surface many times before disappearing so we headed further out.  We were sailing very slowly, searching, when suddenly one Minke whale surfaced very close to the boat a few times. Very nice. And later we spotted a few more Minke whales and the same group of White-beaked dolphins from the morning tour whit the very small calf. Absolutely fantastic. And again they came close to our boat a few times. On our way back to the harbour, two Minke whales surfaced just 50-60 meters from the boat.  So again very nice tour.

Tour at 09:00

It took us some time to find the whales today. Then, after sailing and searching for 50 minutes, suddenly one Minke whale surfaced very close to our boat. But only one time. We tried to find it again but no luck. So further we headed, searching some more. We found two ore three Minke whales in the same area and they were feeding. Some of them were diving for a long time but two of them came quite close to our bout, so all our passengers could have a good look at them. Then we spotted a small group of White-beaked dolphins. And this was surprise. First one adult and a very small calf and them two more adults and two more small calves.  It was amazing; they even came close to the boat again and again. We could see that the smallest calf was little bit yellowish so it was very young. Normally when the dolphins have a small calf with them they try to avoid boats.  So this was very special and the smallest calf was VERY small. Wonderful trip this morning.
