Tour status: RUNNING
Report from Hafsulan: It was cloudy, windy and cold day but with hot chocolate and overall as extra clothing we are always ready and with excitement looking forward for every tour. Checking first coast of island Videy become our new tradition and we spent good time looking around that corner. At the beginning it seemed like there is no life at all but soon it changed and flocks of birds arrived. Under the birds we saw small dorsal fins which belonged to harbour porpoises. They were maybe 5 of them. Few minutes later big blow in the distance announced arrival of humpback whale. At first whale was just traveling but after that changed behavior and started to feed. It was incredible. Humpback was in shallow water so instead of typical behavior when whale is coming out vertically it was rolling on the surface and waving with his 4-5m long white flippers in the air. We saw aslo half breach and many times tail of that whale. It was also interesting to see all the fish jumping out of water just moment before whale emerged with open mouth. This years Yule Lads are bringing us amazing Christmas gifts.
