Tour Status: ON
Report from Eldey: It was incredibly foggy when we sailed out. It rarely gets foggy in Reykjavik and I have never seen such a dense fog in the city before. Strangely enough, the fog had not been predicted, according to the main weather stations it was supposed to be totally clear the whole tour. After about 40 minutes the fog slowly lifted, stars appeared above us and beautiful northern lights. Although the lights never became very intens we could easily see them with the naked eye. It was so wonderful and peaceful out at sea. The sea was mirror flat so we could sail far out on Faxaflói bay to enjoy the starry night sky, the city lights and the northern lights.
