Report from Eldey: We did it! We finally found the northern lights again and on a true roller coaster ride! The sailing towards the calm area where we spent majority of the tour was bumpy, and the dramatic weather changes during the tour also resembled a thrilling roller coaster ride. There was a clear aurora activity during the whole tour, at the beginning the lights were faint but gradually became brighter throughout the night. However, the weather was always changing between a complete overcast, snowing or harsh hailing, but every now and then the sky cleared up so we could enjoy the lights. These rapid changes were exciting, we never knew what would happen next. It reminded us that we are located on a island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean where the weather can be so unpredictable.
