TOUR ON SCHEDULE | at 21:00

Report from Eldey: Clear skies might mean colder temperatures, but that definitely is no bother because it also means great chances to see the northern lights. Besides, dressed in the warm overalls we provide on board cold is not a problem. Equipped with our cameras and experienced eyes we watched the sky constantly for the first faint of green to show, the typical start of the northern lights. And then, after about 80 minutes of patience, a green arch formed just underneath the starsign called The Plow, or Dipper, and reaching across to Mt Esja. It fainted, became bright again, fainted once more and then became even brighter than before, a clearly visible green arch in the magnetic north. With this arch shining we slowly moved back towards land. A night well spend.
