Report from Eldey and Hafsulan: Just a few clouds were in the sky tonight, so with the forecast we had, all spirits on both of our boats were high. We first took a small detour to show our passengers the Imagine Peace Tower on Viðey island, just to put a little Christmas bonus to the tour. But then we sailed further into the darkness, prepared our cameras and waited for the Northern Lights to show. About 50 minutes into our tour, cameras began catching the first green in the skies and just quarter of an hour later also our naked eyes saw the lights getting brighter above Mt Esja, soon spreading also above Akraness and forming an arch in the northern sky. This light lasted us for some minutes, but not long enough for us to be satisfied with the experience for our passengers. A complimentary ticket was offered to everyone to return once more, giving mother nature and the lights in the sky another try.
