Report from Eldey: Nature keeps surprising us over and over again! It was a windy night with some rainy clouds up in the skies as we sailed out from the Old Harbour. Early on, however, we already started seeing green hues behind the clouds through our cameras, as camera usually captures the lights long before our eyes can. We were waiting for the clouds to break apart, and soon enough they did, revealing more lights in the sky, and this time easily visible to the naked eye. Eventually, we had two beautiful green arches stretching across the sky, even "dancing" a little. But as in Iceland, the weather can change in a heartbeat, we were suddendly sprinkled with some rain brought by new incoming clouds. We were still enjoying the night, warming up thanks to hot chocolates and in no time, the clouds disappeared and the lights were on and visible again! We almost couldn't believe our luck, truly amazing!
