✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 13:00 Report from Elding: After the previous tour we had no doubts about which area we should go in our Faxafloi bay. Everything went according to plan. Once we got to the area where we found our humpback whale in the morning, we did not had to wait long until we found it again. Just like a few hours before, it was very comfortable around us, reason why we could stay end enjoy its presence for quite a long while. After all our guests had time to make all the beautiful memories – and pictures – we resumed our search for something else. Once we were already on our way back to the harbour we found a minke whale! This one turned out to be very shy and illusive, though. So after a few attempts of keeping track of it we decided to finally had back home. Another fantastic ride with Elding!

Report from Eldey: Beautiful morning with calm sea and bright Sun. Breeze was strong and cold but for my surprise most of our passengers refused to put on overalls and like a real Vikings were facing this refreshing weather without any complain. We saw big flocks of birds towards north-west but as whales were last seen in different direction we decided to check birds later on. After arriving to the area we slowed down and after a while of waiting we spotted a blow far behind us - that is why is so important to have eyes all around head when looking for whale. It turned out to be humpback whale! Encounter wasn´t easy as whale was more interested in fish than in us thus we had to have a lot patience. It paid off as at some point whale was coming up and down with a distance less than 10m from our side. It feels special when wild animal is showing such a confidence around humans. After taking photos of a fluke of this whale we found out that it was one of the first humpbacks spotted this year, seen in Faxafloi for the first time 25th of February. Hopefully he likes it here and will stay with us much longer!
