Tour at 13:00 Report from Elding: We sailed out from Reykjavik today in beautiful weather, great visibility to the point of seeing Snæfellsness in the distance, blue skies, calm seas. We even had mirror calm seas for about 30 minutes before the winds came in. The sunset was also lovely until the grey clouds came in at the end of the tour. We saw thousands of seabirds, fulmars mainly, most likely coming back from their migration as there were large flocks everywhere but they were just sitting on the water not doing much. We had the perfect conditions to see whales too, you could spot them miles away but unfortunately today there was none. I really hope they will be in Faxafloi soon.
Birds seen on todays tour include, Gannets, Fulmars, Razorbills, Black backed Gulls, Gloucous Gulls, Kittiwakes, Cormorants, Shags and Eider Ducks.
