NORTHERN LIGHT CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Elding: Tonight kp index was on 3 and when we left the harbour the sky was pretty clear. A very light veil of high clouds seemed to be upon us but not thick enough to hide the stars. In support to Ukrain and to the hardships that ukrainian citizens are going through, the Imagine Peace Tower was alight. We went close to Viðey to admire this symbol of peace created by Yoko Ono, and we kept going. There was no northern light beside the activity announced. The wind picked up a lot so we found shelter closer to the land. We waited but low and middle clouds completely covered the sky. We went back home and gave complimentary tickets to our passengers, giving them the possibility to come back for a new northern light cruise in the next two years. We hope that next time will be luckier !

NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey: We had high hopes for this evening as the forecast was looking great for tonight, with a moderate activity forecast of 3/9. When we started our trip, the sky was covered by a very light veil of high clouds which did break apart at points of the trip. Still we were hopeful and tried our luck. Unfortunately though nothing happened, a risk one has to take when chasing a nature phenomenon such as the northern lights. The passengers still enjoyed the city lights and the spectacular Imagine Peace Tower from Videy Island in front of Reykjavík, lighting up the sky in support to Ukrain and to the hardships that ukrainian citizens are going through. The winds started to increase and everyone was ready to head home. At the end of the tour every passenger was offered a complimentary ticket to come out another time to keep chasing the lights!
