Report from Eldey: The forecast for tonight made all of us hopeful, as we expected clear skies and we could find out that there was movement in the magnetic field which is an indicative of auroral activity. Unfortunately the sky was completely covered when we sailed out. We were able to find gaps between clouds that allowed us to see some stars. We just waited for those gaps to get larger or  that the clouds would vanish throughout the tour but after two and a half hour on the water the clouds had only become thicker. We enjoyed the ride and the music, but northern lights remained missing. That is why everyone received a complimentary ticket to try again the next days or on their next vacation in Iceland.
