NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 22:00
Report from Eldey: We left the harbor with great hope but clouds over our head. Tonight the kp index is of 3 out of 9, which is considered as moderate which makes the conditions quite good for northern light watching. The problem we might have tonight is the northern light activity not picking up and the cloud cover, probably about 70 percent of the sky. However, the weather was extremely pleasant, with barely any waves and a warm air - at least for Iceland, that is. We cruised along Viðey and Engey, looking at the sky, but without any luck. Even though we had a lot of clouds we still had opening in those clouds which probably would have made possible to watch northern light. Seeing after 2 hours that the northern light activity did not pick up we offered complimentary tickets for our passengers to come back again and hopefully enjoy the sights of this magical phenomenon. On the way back we could appreciate some great view of Reykjavik and a pleasant sail without any wind.
