Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

Report from Eldey: We had beautiful and calm conditions over the bay and were able to see all the way up to Snæfellsjökull today. We made a large circle in Faxaflói to see if we could spot any wildlife further out in the bay, but the humpback whale that we were looking for had decided to stay close to land today. On the way back we found the individual around Viðeyjarflak, and as we have seen him so often in this area, we decided to name this humpback whale Flak. Flak came up very frequently today, showing us the fluke after every few breaths. He also came very close to the boat, sometimes just a few meters away! It was incredible to spend these moments with this individual, especially with a background of snowcovered mountains and the setting sun.
