    CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We left the harbour with no wind and a super flat sea that looked like a mirror. Despite it was cloudy we could also see a glimpse of sunshine during our ride to spot some wildlife. Right after twenty minutes we just saw 1 minke whale in front of us, quite close, just passing around very quick. We decided to go a bit far out where I spotted 2 blows and 1 sequence of tail slapping in the distance. They were 3 humpback whales!! We saw them quite well and then we just found out to have 6 individuals all around us. We could admire few fluke dives and one very close, familiarizing with the boat. They all were quite relaxed, logging and diving all the time. During the time spent with them we could also see other 2 sneaky minke whales popping up every now and then. On our way back we could see again one the humpbacks very close in front of us to end this beautiful and peaceful tour!

    CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 1300

Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out west on a very calm see with nearly no white waves at all. We were very lucky with the weather conditions as the sun was shining and there was nearly no wind. We went to the area where we went in the morning. After about 40 minutes we saw several blows in the distance and decided to approach. We saw 1 humpback whale that was spouting. One after another individual came to the surface and we were soon completely surrounded by 8 humpback whales. We then stayed there for a while and watched them. They were very relaxed and calm and we were able to see many beautiful fluke dives. During the sightings there were also many flogs of arctic terns that went diving for fish. When we ran out of time and decided to sail back to the harbour. On the way back we got to see 2 pods of 4 harbour porpoises that were travelling quickly.
