Report from Hafsula: This morning we sailed out onto a gorgeous sea, with barely any wind. The sky was blue and so was the sea! We had amazing conditions and were excited to see what we would find. After sailing for about an hour we spotted a tiny blow and then confirmed we had found a minke whale surfacing next to us! It only appeared twice before it continued onwards. We then did the same ourselves and ventured a little more Northwest and spotted another blow - this time much bigger! This one belonged to a humpback whale. It was once again a bit of a tricky individual, taking very long dives between coming up. We had to start our return journey home sadly, and on the way back spotted 3 harbour porpoises.  They popped up a few times but they were a little in the distance so tricky to spot. In the end we decided to give everyone the chance to come back again for free, handing out complimentary tickets. They last two years so that everyone can have the chance to come back and see Faxafloi in its full glory. We still had an amazing sail with great conditons and look forward to the afternoon.

Report from Hafsulan: Today the sun was shining so nicely that everyone decided to enjoy it outside during the whole tour! And what a nice afternoon we had. Sailing out, to see if we were a bit luckier than the tour in the morning, we didn't take long until we saw a fluke at the surface, not far from us! It was our first humpback whale of the tour, and we waited for it, excited. However, this one decided to play hide and seek and we were not able to see it again. So we continued our sailing, and after a while we spotted a big blow in the distance! Another humpback was there, and its diving patterns were, fortunately, different from the last one. So we waited less time for it, and its beautiful fluke gace its position away. Then, the whale only performed shallow dives for many minutes, like a rest, coming slowly to the surface and sometimes closer. In the same area, we spotted another humpback whale, that had an interesting scar on its back! We watched this one for a while after realizing we were running out of time and we decided to come back slowly to Reykjavík, enjoying nice music and this summer vibe!
