This morning, we enjoyed sightings of a humpback whale surfacing multiple times and swimming near our boat. A swift minke whale also passed by as we returned to Reykjavik under sunny skies. All tour for the rest of the day were unfortunately cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions in the bay.

Today we were battling some winds, so we decided to head towards Hafnarfjörður. We had no success there, so we turned in the opposite direction and went nearly all the way to Hvalfjörður, in order to cover as much area as possible. Again, we were not successful, so we issued complimentary tickets so our passengers could try again.

Tonight we had an amazing forecast and high hopes while sailing out. As we got further into the bay we were met with a thick cloud cover. We ended up issuing complimentary tickets so everyone can try their luck again!
This morning, despite the sun and manageable winds, we searched extensively but unfortunately didn't spot any marine mammals. We of course issued complimentary tickets in hopes our passengers can return another day and have another chance to see the wildlife in our bay. The rest of our whale watching tours were cancelled due to weather.

Today, we encountered several pods of 10-12 white-beaked dolphins jumping close to the boat, then 3 harbour porpoises and about 10-12 minke whales with one even lunge-feeding. We also saw a crew favourite, "Davy Jones II" the humpback whale, logging, rolling and showing its pectoral fins! A gloomy day full of surprises!

This evening was our first Northern Lights Cruise of the winter and we sailed out with a bit of a cloud cover but soon spotted some northern lights! The lights came and went, but they stayed with us most of the tour. A great start to the season!
While most tours ended up being cancelled due to weather, we did manage to sail out in the morning. We saw a bottling grey seal near Viðey island in the morning and two harbour porpoises in the afternoon, but due to the limited sightings, we did issue complimentary tickets in hopes our passengers are able to return and try again!
