Report from Eldey: We often say sailing out, that we are about to embark on an adventure, and today was one of those days where these words rung true! We sailed out, with beautiful snowy mountains surrounding the bay. The swell did pick up as we got further out, so there were a few pale faces. We tried our best to keep the boat steady and make sure everyone was taken care of that did not feel well. We spotted a lot of Northern fulmars and black guillemots while searching for cetaceans. We turned eventually heading into the wind and then even got some hail! Shortly after the sun came back and then we heard whispers on the radio that there was something bigger to be found! We turned once more and then in the distance a huge dorsal fin! We found orcas! There were 3 individuals, one male, one female, and one unknown. They were moving quite quickly so sometimes it was hard to follow, but the male came incredibly close on occasion. It was truly breathtaking. We stayed a bit as they were feeding around us and when we ran out of time headed back to harbour.
