CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed into the bay with wonderful flat seas and sun peaking out of a cloudy sky. Conditions were perfect for spotting blows from a distance, and it did not take long before we spotted a tall bushy blow. As we ventured near, the animal appeared more clearly, a humpback whale, this was a very relaxed individual which stayed on the surface for several minutes, moving slowly and taking several breaths. As the whale finally decided to dive, showcasing its majestic fluke, we left the area to minimize our impact and search for something else. More and more blows kept showing up all along the horizon, and we were blessed with two more separate sightings of solitary humpback whales. One of which came up from a feeding bout and rolled on the surface, showing its fluke! After three wonderful sightings, there was no time left and we had to head back home. On our way, though we could not stop we kept spotting blows in the distance, a good sign that the season is truly kicking off!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: We headed out of the habrour with some light winds, sunny skies, and calm seas. There were several white caps in the distance so we had to be extra focused to distinguish waves from blows. Nearly 45mins in the tour we had our first encounter, a humpback whale breaching! An amazing encounter as the individual repeatedly burst out of the water with immense power and grace, before calming down and resting at the surface. More boats started to arrive so we left this individual and headed for another blow in the distance. This second individual was feeding near the surface before heading down into the abyss with a wonderful fluke dive. This marked the end of this encounter and we turned towards home. On the way back we encountered two separate humpback whales, no breaches this time but unwavering grace none the less. In total we saw 4 separate humpback whales on this tour! Simply Spectacular!
